MPIMG DAC – Access policy

This policy refers to data sets, which have been submitted to the European Genome Archive (EGA) for the restricted access by legitimate academic institutions that have agreed to comply with the terms of the Data Access Agreement (DAA) drafted by the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics (MPIMG). There are a number of steps that a researcher must take to obtain access to this data and the process is overseen by our Data Access Committee (DAC).

The DAA needs to be completed and submitted to this e-mail address. Additionally, an EGA account needs to be obtained. The account holder must be the same legal person as the applicant on the DAA. Using this account, the researcher must also apply for access to the data of interest via EGA and confirm in the comments that the DAA was submitted via email.

The application will then be evaluated by members of the MPIMG DAC and access will be granted via EGA upon positive assessment of the application.

Some data sets are not available for commercial use and access can be denied based on this condition.
