Dr. Sara Hetzel
Kretzmer Lab
Curriculum Vitae
Sara obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Bioinformatics from the Freie Universität Berlin. She conducted the research for her Master thesis as an exchange student at the CSIRO in Sydney studying off-target effects of CRISPR-Cas9. After her return, Sara joined Alex’s lab as a PhD student, investigating the role of DNA methylation in human cancer and matching mouse models.
