Dr. Aydan Bulut-Karslioglu earned her B.Sc. degrees of chemical engineering major and biology minor from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara,Turkey in 2006. Between 2006-2008 she performed Master’s research on molecular biology and genetics at Bilkent University in Ankara. In 2008, she joined Thomas Jenuwein’s lab at the Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg, Germany for doctoral studies. In 2013, Dr. Bulut-Karslioglu moved to San Francisco to join Miguel Ramalho-Santos’s lab as a postdoc. In 2018, she received the Sofja Kovalevskaja Award to start her independent research lab at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin.
