Nir Yosef: Spatiotemporal perspectives on tumor growth with single cell genomics

The research group of Prof. Nir Yosef develops algorithms and utilize single cell genomics for studying the organization and function of immune cells in a tissue. They are taking a data- centric perspective on studying how changes in transcription are associated with molecular and cellular phenotypes in immunity and cancer. In that capacity, the lab is developing computational tools and leverages single cell genomics to reach a better understanding of the factors that contribute to variability between cells (e.g, metabolic activity, microenvironment) and their broader implications (e.g., in autoimmunity).
