Hasan Ozan Otaş

Ozan obtained his BSc in 2016 at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH) in Turkey. During his BSc, he has visited Université libre de Bruxelles in Belgium where he contributed to a research project about Acute Myeloid Leukemia progression. Before completing his BSc, he worked in the Anti-Cancer Drug Research Group at the Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Lab of IZTECH where he established and applied new 3D cell culture protocol on hepatocellular carcinoma and pancreatic cancer cell spheroid models. He received his MSc in 2019 from Apoptosis and Cancer Immunology Laboratory in Boğaziçi University in Turkey where he worked on mechanisms of inflammasome adapter protein in the innate immune system. He joined the OWL Yaspo lab to continue his PhD research on metastatic melanoma and tumor microenvironment.
