Next Generation Sequencing and its Impact on Genetics
August 19th-26th, Berlin >>> download poster <<< This summer school brings together researchers and PhD students from different backgrounds (including molecular biology, bioinformatics, biological physics, mathematics) to discuss recent advances in next generation sequencing and its impact on genetics in an interactive environment.
Lectures will bridge from text book knowledge to where current research starts, and seminars towards the end of the summer school will present current research in the field. The summer school will also give students a chance to present their projects and interact with the speakers. Topics to be covered are:
Current sequencing technologies
Computational methods in processing and analysis of sequencing data
Human and statistical genetics
SNP identification and interpretation
Human evolutionary genetics
Populations genetics
Application deadline: 14th of June, 2013
