Matthias Muhar: How chemical scars mark proteins for degradation

Matthias received his PhD in Molecular Biology from the Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) in Vienna in 2018, working with Prof. Johannes Zuber on the development of genetic- and transcriptomics tools for the study of gene regulation in leukemia. In July 2019 Matthias joined the Corn Lab as Postdoc to study the genetic basis of selective protein degradation. His research interests include protein homeostasis and exploratory genetics, with a special focus on protein quality control.
