Hemai Parthasarathy obtained her PhD from MIT in Neurobiology. She went on to be an editor at Nature and managing editor at Plos Biology. Following that she started bridge science with technology to support bold science ideas that can have a huge impact on society. She was the founder of Breakout Labs and currently she works for the Google subsidiary X-moonshot factory where she evaluates the potential of multi-million dollar projects to make a 10x impact on society. Hemai has given TED-talks and is on the TED-MED selection committee. She is also on the jury of many prestigious science awards and granting committees, such as the Falling Walls Summit, which awards the science break through of the year and Chang Zuckerberg Initiative.
