Curriculum Vitae
Anand Govindan-Ravi completed his Bachelor’s in Science at Loyola College, Chennai, India, in 2021. He later moved to the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, for his master’s degree in Life Science 2021-24. His master’s thesis at the Jeffrey Gerst Lab focused on intercellular mRNA transfer via nanotubes and developing a simplistic, functional model for understanding the downstream impact of transferred mRNA in a co-culture system. Further interested in scientific research, Anand moved to Berlin in 08/2024 to join Prof. Stefan Mundlos’s group at the MPIMG as a part of the IMPRS-BAC program. He focuses on the gene regulatory elements in wing/limb development and uses synthetic biology approaches to carry out genome engineering for cross-species enhancer testing.
