PhD retreat 2025

Do not miss the PhD retreat 2025 !!!

Doctoral candidates from the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics are very welcome to join the PhD retreat 2025. This year, our PhD retreat will take place from 24 to 26 September 2025 in beautiful Dresden! Take this opportunity to meet other doctoral candidates, get to know their scientific projects, and network with them in a relaxed atmosphere. Fun is guaranteed!

The PhD retreat will include:

• Invited speakers
• Workshops: Philipp Jordan (Graphics for Science) & Amanda Wichert (Project Management)
• Brief student presentations & poster sessions
• Team-building activities
• Discussions and trainings

A central focus of the retreat is enhancing interaction among PhD students. To encourage scientific exchange, we ask each participant to contribute either a short talk (around 10 minutes) or a poster presentation.

Importantly, the maximum capacity for this event is limited to 50 participants and hence "first come, first served" applies!!

The trip includes two nights in double rooms, including meals.

Please register here by 21 July. Note that your registration is binding. If you do not attend the retreat without a valid reason, your research group will be responsible for covering the associated costs.
