The Department of Computational Molecular Biology, Group: Mechanisms of Transcriptional Regulation (Head Dr. Sebastiaan Meijsing), is seeking strongly motivated

PhD students in Transcriptional Regulation

(Code V 11/30)

Responsibility:
Our research focusses on Nuclear hormone receptors and the role of DNA binding sites and other inputs in specifying where, when and at which level genes are expressed. The group, is embedded in the computational department of Martin Vingron, giving you the opportunity to do bench work as well as learn about and apply computational approaches to the data generated in the lab.

Qualification:
We seek motivated independent individuals with a background in molecular or cell biology, experience with the zebrafish or C. elegans system is desirable. Knowledge of English is essential. Positions are available immediately.

The Max Planck Society is committed to employing more disabled individuals and particularly encourages them to apply. Qualified women are explicitly encouraged to apply since the Max Planck Society is committed to increasing its percentage of female employees.

To apply, send a curriculum vitae, a brief description of research experience and interests, and the names of three references to:
